Established in partnership with SUNFLEX Germany, we combine precision German-engineered working components with South African extruded aluminium and manufacturing, to deliver exceptional quality, performance and reliability.
From our Head Office in Durban KZN, we manufacture premium aluminium systems, supported by offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town and a national network of approved installers.

Founded in Germany in 1986, SUNFLEX develops and manufactures aluminium and glass systems for an international market, with sales partners all over the world.
Our History
A Family Business. An Enduring Partnership.
After looking for new opportunities in the industry, Charles and his son, Patrick Rostance recognized something exceptional in the quality and engineering of SUNFLEX Germany’s systems. In 2005, Charles and Patrick founded SUNFLEX South Africa, beginning a longstanding partnership with SUNFLEX Germany that continues today.
From humble beginnings, the team built the SUNFLEX name one project, one installation and one customer at a time. SUNFLEX grew into a national operation incorporating locally sourced glass, manufacturing of extruded aluminium profiles and while retaining precision working components from Germany.
John Rostance joined the business in 2009, opening the Cape Town branch shortly afterwards and expanding the SUNFLEX network to the Western Cape. Today, brothers Patrick and John continue to lead the family-owned business, with its head office and manufacturing in Durban.
But perhaps the part of the SUNFLEX story they are most proud of isn't measured only by how much the company has grown.
It's in the people who have grown with it. Many members of the SUNFLEX team have been part of the business for a decade or more, carrying with them years of specialist knowledge, craftsmanship and pride to every system.
The factory has grown. The products have evolved. And the SUNFLEX name has become firmly established in South African architecture. But more than 20 years later, it remains a family-run business built around a product they genuinely believe in.
2005
Sunflex South Africa is Founded, starting with one Sunflex system, a garage and a bakkie.
2009
John joins the business and opens the Cape Town Branch.
