1. About this policy
This policy explains how JPA Glass Systems (PTY) Ltd, trading as SUNFLEX SA (“we”, “us” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on sunflex.co.za, and how you can manage your choices.
Where these technologies process personal information, we handle it in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”). Please read our Privacy Policy for information about how we handle personal information and your rights.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They support website functions and remember preferences. Cookies and similar technologies may process personal information, including device identifiers and browsing information.
3. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
We use cookies to support essential website functions, including remembering your cookie preferences. These remain enabled through our website’s cookie controls. Any associated processing of personal information must have a lawful basis under POPIA.
Analytics and marketing cookies
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google’s measurement and advertising tags. We use them to understand how visitors use this website and to measure how effective our Google Ads are, for example whether a visit leads to a quote request. These tags may set cookies and similar identifiers on your device and receive information such as your browser and device details, the pages you view and whether you complete a quote request.
Advertising tags from Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft
We also use Google Tag Manager to load three advertising measurement tags: the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram), the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Microsoft Advertising’s Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag. We use them to measure and improve our advertising on those platforms, for example to understand whether people who saw or clicked an advertisement went on to visit this website or ask for a quote, and to show our advertising to relevant audiences. These tags set advertising cookies and similar identifiers and receive information such as the pages you view, your browser and device details and your IP address. Unlike Google’s tags, which run in a restricted mode until you choose, these three tags do not load at all unless you accept marketing cookies.
We set analytics and marketing cookies only if you accept them, using our cookie banner or Preferences in the website footer.
Google Consent Mode
Until you make a choice, and if you decline, these tags run in a restricted mode. They do not set analytics or advertising cookies and do not read existing ones, but they may still send limited signals to Google, such as which page was viewed or that a quote request was completed. Like any request to Google, these include technical information such as your IP address and browser type. Google uses them for aggregated reporting and for modelling conversions.
4. Managing your preferences
You can manage available cookie choices using the cookie banner or Preferences in the website footer.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect website functionality.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Changing your preferences does not necessarily delete cookies already stored on your device; you can remove these through your browser.
5. Third-party technologies
The analytics and marketing tools described in section 3 are provided by Google LLC, which acts under its own terms and privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Information processed by Google may be transferred outside South Africa; any sharing or overseas processing of personal information must comply with POPIA and is addressed in our Privacy Policy.
The advertising measurement tags from Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft are provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (facebook.com/privacy/policy), LinkedIn Corporation (linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy) and Microsoft Corporation (privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement), each of which acts under its own terms and privacy policy. Information processed by them may be transferred outside South Africa; any sharing or overseas processing of personal information must comply with POPIA and is addressed in our Privacy Policy.
If we add other third-party tracking technologies, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required. External websites accessed through links have their own cookie and privacy policies.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our technologies or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version here with a revised date and obtain fresh consent where required.
